New car. New co-driver. New team.

The 2016 racing season is shaping up to be the most exciting ever for Legistics. This year, veteran driver Spencer Pumpelly will join Nick Galante in a Legistics-sponsored Porsche Cayman for the RS1 team. “It’s really an exciting collaboration,” said Legistics CEO, Phil Frengs. “I can’t wait for the season to start so we can see where all of this new energy leads.”Pumpelly is an inspiring addition to the team. The only driver to win in both the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and Continental Tire Challenge in 2015, he has 93 career races in the Continental Tire Challenge, with nine victories, 23 podiums, three poles and 49 top 10 finishes.

Pumpelly and Galante will be driving the RS1 team’s No. 17 Porsche, which will be all new for 2016. The previous No. 17 took a major hit in a 2015 race, and although the team patched it up and went on to win more races, the car was never the same. For the 2016 season, the RS1 team took the opportunity to make a great car even better, building a new version from the ground up and dedicating significant time to testing.

The result: The Legistics-sponsored No. 17 Porsche Cayman will be a racecar worth watching.

Catch No. 17’s first race of the season on Friday, January 29, at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.
